“ This place was a bit of a gem really. The seasoning on the chicken was flavourful and crunchy, the cod was light and crispy and the fries had a good crunch to then be dipped or sprayed with vinegar to your heart's delight. The perfect beige meal. ”
“ First time there since it was Coopers. Great food and familiar faces. ”
“ Cute diner, incredible paintings on the wall for sale - $700 each or so. Food is good, atmosphere is quiet. Lots of pub food variety. ”
“ It was a nice surprise in the office season. Looking for a place to eat, only to realize most everything was closed. Drove by and turned back once I realized it may be open. It was. I heard other people thank the server for being open as they too had a hard time finding a place to eat. This place was awesome. Large portions, and the club sandwich had not 3 but 4 types of meat. Homemade fries were delicious. Along with the dressing and gravy made it a great meal that hit the spot. ”
“ Best burger my husband ever had. We had to go back a second time so I could have one. Again amazing. Staff is so friendly. Food is piping hot. A must try. Cheers from Ailsa Craig. ”
“ I searched "good food on the way to Bonavista" and this restaurant stood out by the reviews. We phoned ahead and placed our orders and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. We arrived early, used the clean washrooms and took advantage of the brightly colored picnic tables outside for a rest from the drive. The food was freshly made, not sitting around and soggy and we appreciated the home fries, in large portions I might add. The clubhouse sandwiches were piled high and the homemade burger was tasty as well. The kids appreciated the simplicity of the basic fried chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. Glad we stopped here, friendly and welcoming place. Lots of parking. ”
“ Busy with locals. Diner atmosphere and food. If your expectations are at that level they deliver it well. We had fish cakes and beef soup. Both decent. Service was good. Nice people. Close to Lockston provincial park. Clientele looked like the local retirement crowd which was charming. ”
